Welcome to Class Four!
Above are the photos that were taken on our recent visit to Abingdon School.
It has been a very busy but very fun term for Class 4! As you can see from our displays and photos, our curriculum has been jam-packed, exciting and creative! We have absolutely loved studying our two class texts – ‘Floodland’ and ‘Stormbreaker’. We have done lots of writing, art, drama and reading around these books and are very proud of our work! Our Buddy Reading is as always incredibly successful and Class 1 love coming to read with us on a Friday. It is lovely to see the relationships between the youngest and oldest in the school develop so well.
We have also recently been training as Forensic Investigators and now that we have passed our training we will be investigating evidence from a crime scene to see if we can solve the mystery. There are four possible suspects but only one culprit and we have to use our science knowledge and skills to work out whodunnit. Wish us luck!
We have been busy making links with our community, including: Abingdon School where we became business people for the day to launch a new product. We look forward to working on new projects in the Spring with them. We also sang carols at Stowford House and became engineers at Larkmead Secondary School. We have also spent a day at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory learning about Space.
The Christmas Sunningwell spirit is certainly evident as we are rehearsing for our Christmas production of ‘Ahmal’. We have also made Christmas biscuits which we had to follow our written instructions to successfully make them. The best part was definitely tasting our baked goods at the end. Yum!
