Tuesday 15th may 2006 three teams from Sunningwell School took part in a DT challenge at Fitzharrys School. We took three teams of three, the teams were.

Crazy Cakes
This is what Nathan had to say “It was hard, but we did it, we had to make a cake with an insect on it. At the end we came 4th, we were all proud.”
Phoebe said “I really enjoyed doing Crazy Cakes. I also enjoyed working with the team and overall I thought it was a really good night.”
This is what Frankie had to say “I thought it was really fun making a Cake”. They all enjoyed it!
Egg Drop
Cameron, a member of the egg drop team said “It was an interesting project and it got me thinking. We got an amazing result when we tested it but when it came to the real thing we forgot to put the egg in it so ended a big thumbs DOWN but were still proud of our selves and it was a great night. So really all I’ve got to say about that is - the EGG!!!.”
This is what Daniel said “It’s not my fault about the egg I was under too much pressure.”
This is what Nat had to say “I thought it was a great night and we were disappointed that the egg broke.”
Robo Rabbit
James worked on Robo Rabbit, an activity where you had to write a computer program to steer a robotic rabbit through a maze, he said “We did well testing it on the table but when it came to doing it, the silly thing wouldn’t go forward so I cheated a bit, I used my hands.”
Another team member Ellie said “it was a good night and we gave it our best I was very pleased with our team effort. The final member of that group Laura thought… “It was a great experience and it was great fun.”
We didn’t do as well as we thought we would do and we hope we do better next time it was an enjoyable evening.
All the teachers were proud of us and we are proud of ourselves.
